Rebecca Edwards is a London based curator, writer and producer. Her interests include cultivating experimental curatorial methods, interweaving fluid approaches to production, dissemination and representation of artwork, and exploring the nested fields of technology, digital aesthetics and internet culture. Rebecca was the curator at arebyte from 2017 - 2024. She is currently a co-host of Future Artefacts Podcast and access worker for artist Petra Szemán.
Rebecca was the curator at arebyte from 2017 to 2024 where she curated the onsite exhibition programme, as well as the online programme at aos.arebyte.com, and exhibition related events, special screenings and one-off events. She worked as a producer for working artist Libby Heaney with Mozilla Creative Media Award.
She has programmed events and gatherings including screenings, readings, symposiums, talks, workshops, and performances across London and the UK, as well as publishing a book with Good Press.
She initiated the young artist development programme hotel generation, where she mentored artists from around the UK in partnership with other UK institutions.
Other than arebyte, she has curated exhibitions at Bonington (UK), FormaHQ (UK), CAC (CN), The British Academy (UK), Ars Electronica, Off Site Project (online), isthisit (online), The Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), Lewisham Art House(UK), The Zabludowicz Collection (UK) and The Wrong Biennale (online). Her curatorial projects have featured in Time Out, Art Review, and Art Monthly.
She has written texts for L’Essenziale Magazine, The Julia Stoschek Collection, LAS (Light Art Space) Berlin, Institute of Network Cultures, Valiz, +DEDE, The Space Magazine, The Zabludowicz Collection, NEON Greece and all arebyte exhibition booklets.
She has been included in panel discussions and podcasts, made contributions to artist zines, artist books and interview sections, and worked as a collaborator on various national and international projects as well as universities.
